Why These Overnight Oats Are a Great Breakfast Option

These healthy banana bread overnight oats are nourishing, simple, and incredibly satisfying!

  • Bananas provide natural sweetness, potassium, and fiber to help keep you full longer. They also help turn this into one of my favorite high fiber snacks that still feels indulgent.
  • Old fashioned oats are slow-digesting and great for blood sugar stability, which makes this a solid protein breakfast base.
  • Maple syrup adds a rich depth of flavor with just a hint of natural sweetness. I love using a sugar-free option to keep these healthy banana overnight oats more balanced.
  • Pecans offer crunch, healthy fats, and a satisfying nutty flavor.
  • Cinnamon + vanilla bring the banana bread flavor to life

It’s everything you love about banana bread, in a spoonable, overnight oats in a jar form. What could get better than that?

Substitutions & Sweetness Notes

  • Milk: Use dairy or plant-based milk, both work well for easy overnight oatmeal with banana.
  • Pecans: Walnuts, almonds, or even sunflower seeds are great too! I prefer walnuts.
  • Maple syrup: Adjust sweetness to taste. You can use honey, agave, or monk fruit sweetener instead, but it will alter the flavor slightly.
  • Want more protein? Add Greek yogurt, collagen, or a scoop of vanilla protein powder to turn this into protein overnight oats or even a high protein breakfast.
