Best Essential Oils for Postpartum
The use of essential oils has grown in recent years, and for good reason. The health benefits and effectiveness of aromatherapy is incredible.
I have been using essential oils for about 5 years now and have taken some aromatherapist courses as well.
While I am not certified yet, I have loved learning and using these for my natural postpartum care.
The human body is incredible with its sense of smell and by using essential oils, you will reap all the benefits whether you apply topically or practice aromatherapy for postpartum.
Here are some of my favorite essential oils for postpartum recovery that I used and loved.

Clary Sage Essential Oil

I found this super helpful for all the uterine contractions you experience after giving birth. I added a few drops of essential oil to a 10 ml roller bottle along with some fractionated coconut oil and rubbed it on my lower abdomen to help with the afterbirth cramps.

It is one of the great oils for pain relief for postpartum women and to include in your hospital bag and in your DIY postpartum care kit.

You can also add it to a spray bottle to make a room spray with it! I sometimes even add it to a cotton ball and put it in the bottom of my bathroom garbage can to help with the smell there too!
