50 Empowering Pregnancy Affirmations

Here are some of my favorite pregnancy affirmations that I used through all 3 of my pregnancies, as well as what I share as a certified doula with my clients. They are empowering, uplifting, and easy to use!

Pregnancy is a time of transformation—physically, emotionally, and mentally. With so many changes happening at once, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or even doubtful about your ability to handle this journey.

That’s why I LOVE using positive affirmations. Pregnancy affirmations are a simple yet powerful tool to help you stay positive, build confidence, and embrace the beauty of growing life inside you.

Whether you’re battling morning sickness, preparing for labor, or just needing a boost of self-love, these affirmations can reframe your thoughts and help you experience pregnancy with peace and joy.

Why Pregnancy Affirmations Work

Affirmations are short, positive statements that help rewire your brain by replacing negative thoughts with empowering ones.

When spoken regularly, they can:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Build confidence in your body’s ability to grow and birth your baby
  • Strengthen the bond between you and your baby
  • Shift focus from fear to trust
  • Encourage relaxation, which is essential for a healthy pregnancy.

Your words hold power. When you intentionally choose affirmations that align with your pregnancy experience, you create a mental and emotional space where positivity thrives.

Creating Your Own Pregnancy Affirmations

While the above affirmations are powerful, you can create personalized ones that speak directly to your experience.

You will more than likely create your own, and I highly encourage it! Most women naturally know what to say to their bodies and will speak to their baby in their tummy comforting words without even thinking.

Here’s how I like to come up with my own affirmations:

  1. Identify a Challenge or Fear – What worries you most? Labor? Body changes? Bonding?
  2. Flip It into a Positive Statement – If you’re afraid of labor, instead of thinking, “I can’t do this,” affirm, “My body is strong and capable of birth.”
  3. Make It Present-Tense – Use words like “I am” instead of “I will” to reinforce the belief in the now.
  4. Keep It Simple and Meaningful – Choose affirmations that feel true and encouraging.

How to Use Pregnancy Affirmations

Now that you have your affirmations you like for your pregnancy, here is how to get the most out of them:

1. Repeat Them Daily

Choose a few affirmations that resonate with you and say them aloud every morning or before bed. Speak them with conviction—your brain believes what you tell it!

2. Write Them Down

Keep a journal of affirmations, or post them where you’ll see them daily—on the bathroom mirror, fridge, or phone screensaver.

I have affirmations you can print out to help you!

3. Record and Listen

Hearing your own voice repeating affirmations can be a powerful way to absorb their message. Try recording them and listening during relaxation or meditation.

4. Pair Them with Breathwork

Take deep breaths as you say each affirmation. This helps anchor the words into your nervous system and encourages calmness.

5. Use During Labor

If fear of birth is creeping in, affirmations can shift your mindset. Say them between contractions or have a partner read them to you for reassurance.

Final Thoughts

Your thoughts shape your pregnancy experience. By incorporating positive affirmations into your daily routine, you nurture not only your mind but also the little life growing inside you. Pregnancy is a sacred, transformative time—embrace it with confidence, trust, and love.

You’ve got this, mama. Your body is strong. Your mind is powerful. Your baby is deeply loved.
