2. Cook A Nutritious Meal

Some people look at cooking as a hassle. Others can find it therapeutic. Find a recipe, or throw together a quick salad! 

3. Stretch

Set a timer and stretch out all your limbs for just five minutes. This is especially important if you have been sitting for a long period of time. 

Include some stretches and yoga during your self-care morning routine!

4. Play a Sport

Have a basketball? Go shoot some hoops and see how many baskets you make in just a few minutes. Find a sport you enjoy and just spend a few minutes strengthening those skills.

Stop judging others, but most importantly yourself. For every judgment you say, replace it with a positive thing instead. 

25. Cry 

Just let it out. You need to cry and release everything you have been holding onto. You’ll feel so much better afterward. 

This is especially important for those who are not enjoying motherhood.

For the next five minutes, rewrite all your negative thoughts for positive ones.

Find a class for your friends and you to all join! The class itself will not be five minutes, but start a group chat and get to searching! This will help you when you can do longer self-care activities.

Send your appreciation to someone you’ve been meaning to. This will make them feel good and you too! 

45. Text Someone You Trust 

Text someone you trust and tell them about your day, your struggles, and anything else that comes to your mind. Consider it a quick therapy session!

If you can, call someone you love and do the same thing as you would in a text. Sometimes talking is easier than a long text.

Self-Care Ideas for Daily Routines

One of the best self-care tips is to incorporate some habits into your daily routine! Here are some easy self-care ideas for either your morning or night routine. 

69. Make it a Priority 

Prioritize your self-care. Put it at the top of your to do list. If self-care is a huge struggle, for five minutes just try to tell yourself you deserve it.

One morning, hit snooze! Take that time to wake up slowly and feel good about your decision. 

71. Go to Bed Early 

Try to go to bed five minutes earlier each night so you can get a full night’s rest. 

72. Watch Sunrise 

Wake up early one morning and watch the sunrise. It is a beautiful moment that will help your day start off great.

Put on some lip balm or a lip scrub. Take care of your lips especially during the cooler seasons!

Take some time to rest and relax your mind and body. This is a great self-care practice to do every single day.
