It is a day of rest after all! If you work long hours all week long, you deserve to take a nap and just relax!
Even if you cannot take a nap, at least go to bed earlier or wake up later.

It would be amazing if someone could offer you breakfast in bed, but even taking a few extra minutes to create a perfect breakfast is a super easy self-care idea for Sunday.
Pamper yourself with some waffles, pancakes, or crepes! Eating breakfast is one of the top morning rituals for self care.

If you want, today can be the day that you binge watch your favorite show, even the spiritual ones.
Find a movie you have been wanting to watch, make yourself popcorn, grab your blanket, cuddle up, and enjoy!
You don’t have to be productive 7 days a week.
It is one of my favorite self care ideas for moms.
Bake Something Delicious
What have you been craving lately? Get out your apron and start baking something!
Do it with your children, spouse, or by yourself. Don’t feel guilty about eating anything sugary. You deserve this!
Read
If you are a book lover, it will be therapeutic for you. Settle down with a cup of tea, a fuzzy blanket, and your favorite book.
Pick up that book you have been wanting to read for quite some time. Don’t put it off today. Simple read and enjoy.
You can also read some self care quotes to help you believe you are worth of love too!

Light a Candle or Use a Diffuser
Let the fragrance and light relax your senses as you light a soy candle or put some essential oils into your diffuser.
Choose a smell that you are familiar with and know it will relax you. Lavender or Palo Santo are my two go-to for relaxation.
Get Together with Family
Getting together with your family is always a fun thing to do. It is also a great way to work on your social self-care.
If you don’t have family around, what about close friends or someone you trust?
Video Call a Friend
Even if you do not have family close by to physically get together with, call them on the phone.
Be sure to also call one of your friends you haven’t talked to in a long time. Don’t let your relationships get affected because of work. This is your day to get in touch!

Write a Letter to Someone
Don’t you love the feeling you get when you receive a handwritten letter? Serve someone today by writing someone else a letter!
Go on a Nature Walk
Pick some flowers, walk around in a forest, and just enjoy being in the beautiful nature God gave you!
Do a Digital Detox
Your eyes need a break from gadgets too, not just your mind. 5 days of continuous screen-staring is harmful enough.
Do your best not to pick up your phone for the entire day. Can you go without watching tv too?
Start your social media fast on a Sunday too. It makes all the difference.
Write in a Journal
Do a quick brain dump – Let it all out in a journal. Journaling is one of the best self-care Sunday activities that will help you end a week and start a new one fresh.
List down the things you are grateful for; it can be quite refreshing and enlightening. Keeping a gratitude journal is one of the best positive habits you can make.
I have started a self-love journal with prompts that I absolutely love writing in daily.
Get Creative
Do some DIY – if your idea of rewinding is art and craft. We all have a list in our minds of things we want to do but don’t have time. Pick one DIY thing on that list and enjoy being in the present moment.
Listen or Create Music
Dance like no one is watching to connect with your happiest self all over again. This is actually therapeutic to simply let your body dance how it needs to. It is a moving meditation that is one of my favorites.

Play the piano, sing, or play any other instrument as well.
Pamper Yourself
Pamper your skin – Consider it an antidote to all the pollution and stress your skin goes through all week. Start a special self-care Sunday skincare routine. Maybe this is the day you actually exfoliate your face and put body butter all over yourself.
Take a long shower or bath – Feel free to play music, light candles, put in some lavender bath salts and use essential oils. Take as long as you want and enjoy the steam from the hot water.
I have an awesome self care shower routine for moms that I use weekly.
Pamper yourself with a manicure – Who doesn’t love pretty nails, after all?
Meditate
Meditations are one of my favorite self-care Sunday ideas because it aligns your mind, soul, and body. What better thing to do on a Sunday?
Meditating also helps me listen and hear the promptings of the Spirit more fully. Try it out sometime and have a journal close by so you can take note of what God is speaking to you during this time.
Try to do some affirmations for self-love while you practice mindfulness; they make all the difference!
Do Yoga or Stretches
Your body and mind deserve it after a week full of work stress to unwind, relieve the tension in your muscles, and simply stretch.
Do your favorite poses; you do not have to follow a certain practice. Do what your body feels comfortable doing.

Organize an area in your house that could really use it. When our homes are decluttered, our minds get that way too.
Decluttering your home will help you to unload some of the heavy burden placed on you.

Go out for a peaceful drive – If the weather is nice, why not?
Stay in Your PJs All Day
If you plan to stay home all day long, why not? You can stay in your pajamas all day every now and then. It is quite relaxing.
Each Your Favorite Dessert
Finish that tub of ice cream – Happiness comes in all forms, even in the form of ice cream. Don’t worry about what you are eating, just practice mindful eating and simply enjoy.
Garden
Gardening is very relaxing and will bring a sense of peace and zen to your life. Choose a plant that you feel comfortable taking care of and enjoy tending to it.

Write down all your goals for the week and what you have to accomplish. If it works for you, plan out during the week when you will accomplish each thing.
Get a Massage
If you can, have someone in your home give you a massage. You can also massage your feet and hands by yourself as well, or use a massage gun for your back.
Nothing says self-care like a massage!
Read Your Scriptures
Of course, read your scriptures every Sunday. This helps you be in tune with God, and will bring blessings you cannot even imagine throughout the entire week. This is one of the best ways to spend more time with God, and my favorite spiritual self-care practice.
